Fmoc-Glu(Edans)-OH is a fluorescence-labeled amino acid for preparing fluorescence-quenched peptide substrates. It is used for building block for the synthesis of internally quenched fluorogenic peptide substrates (FRET substrates). The fluorescent group EDANS can be efficiently quenched by the nonfluorescent DABCYL chromophore. References 1. J. W.
