What type of chemistry does ChemPep use for peptide synthesis?

Fmoc and Boc strategies are both employed, utilizing solid phase and solution phase techniques. Peptides are synthesized either on an automated peptide synthesizer or by manual synthesis.

What data is supplied with my peptide?

All peptides are supplied with Certificate of Analysis; HPLC and Mass Spec. Amino acid analysis is available upon request.

How long will it take to synthesize my peptide?

The turn-around time for most peptides is within 2-3 weeks. It may take longer for difficult peptide sequences or unusual modifications.

What is the maximum peptide length you can synthesize?

Peptides up to 60 amino acids are routinely synthesized. Longer peptides can be synthesized, depending on the sequence and purity requirements. The longest synthetic peptide we have made exceeded 100 amino acid residues.

What is your modification capability?

ChemPep offers a wide range of modifications. Please see our modification capabilities list for more information.

How should I store my peptide?

The peptides are supplied lyophilized and should be stored at –20°C for maximum stability and long-term storage. Our storage recommendations will give you some guidelines.

How should I solubilize my peptide?

The solubility of a peptide depends on its sequence. Please consult our peptide handling recommendations for more details.
